Cookie Policy
HeartBrain uses the smallest possible amount of cookies and browser storage: enough to keep you signed in, remember your settings and keep your account secure. Nothing more.
Last updated: 10 August 2026
1.The short version
- We use only what is needed to sign you in, remember your settings and stay secure.
- We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.
- We do not sell any of this information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
- We use Google Analytics to understand which pages help people, but only if you choose "Accept analytics". Until then no analytics cookies are set.
3.What we use, and why
| Purpose | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
| Sign-in session | Keeps you signed in as you move between pages, and refreshes your session securely | Until you sign out, or the session expires |
| Security | Protects sign-in and form submissions against misuse and automated abuse | Session, or up to 12 months |
| Your preferences | Remembers choices such as light or dark mode, sidebar state, dismissed notices and the last view you used | Until you clear your browser storage |
| Draft protection | Temporarily keeps what you were typing so a refresh or a lost connection does not lose your work | Until the draft is saved or discarded |
| Payments | Stripe sets its own cookies on its secure checkout and billing pages to process payment and prevent fraud | Set and controlled by Stripe |
| Online meetings | Our video meeting provider sets what it needs to run a meeting while you are in a call | For the duration of the meeting |
| Analytics (optional) | Google Analytics counts page visits in aggregate so we can see which pages help people. Only used if you accept | Up to 14 months, or until you change your choice |
4.What we do not use
We do not use:
- advertising or retargeting cookies;
- cross-site tracking or data brokers;
- social media tracking pixels on pages behind sign-in;
- any cookie that builds a profile of you for marketing purposes.
We do measure basic, aggregated usage such as page views and errors so we can fix problems and see which pages help people. This is not used to identify you or to target you.
5.How to control cookies
You can change your analytics choice at any time: .
You can clear or block cookies and site data in your browser settings, usually under Privacy. Every major browser also has a "clear site data" option for a single site.
If you block what we use for sign-in, you will not be able to stay signed in and parts of HeartBrain will not work. Blocking preference storage means your settings reset each visit.
6.Changes and contact
We update this policy when what we use changes. The date at the top shows the current version. For more on how we handle information generally, see our Privacy Policy. Questions? Email privacy@heartbrain.io.
